RediRad-FM operates on any vehicle with a 12 volt, negative-ground electrical system (basically everything made after 1970) that has a radio/stereo with an FM broadcast band. RediRad-FM consumes a minimum amount of power (operates on less than one-tenth of an amp!) and is internally-fused. Because RediRad-FM is a directly-connected solution, it must be installed. Not a big deal on older cars. Installation time will vary from vehicle to vehicle. Although the RediRad-FM comes with full installation and usage instructions, if installing stuff in your car is not your cup of tea, any competent, local stereo shop will be able to install the RediRad-FM within an hour for most vehicles. Antenna cable adapters may be necessary for late-model vehicles. They are commonly available at major audio retailers or at any competent local stereo shop.
